![]() ![]() As most of you here checking my impression may already have an idea of how the Fourté sounds, my impressions will mostly focus on what makes the Blanc different from the Fourté. The overall presentation of the Blanc doesn’t step too far away from the formula the 64 Audio team had made for the Fourté. Even though I may have not heard the Noir for a very long while now, I can still recall the feeling I had listening to it. So, I am delighted to say that the Blanc gave me the same emotional “hit” as the Noir. In my opinion, the Noir gave a more meaningful impression than the regular Fourté. And just like the Noir, it is also a limited edition item with only 500 available. The Blanc is much like the Noir that came before it, being an alternative flavour to the already amazing Fourté. Let’s start off this short impression of the new 64 Audio Fourté Blanc with a big thank you to the guys over at Bay Bloor Radio in Toronto for allowing me over 2 hours in a private room to have a small shoot and do a comparison to the regular Fourté. These are beautifully juxtaposed with the unique patina of Blanc’s copper faceplate, the cloth pattern and letter pressing on the packaging all imperfect in their own way giving each Fourté Blanc customer a truly exclusive experience.ġ tia High Driver – 1 High-Mid Driver – 1 tia Mid Driver – 1 Dynamic Low Driverġ0Ω Impedance Isolation (Internal apex Technology) Internally, everything from the driver choice and position to the solder is meticulously engineered. ![]() Limited and minimal in nature, each Fourté Blanc is one of only 500 units all with exclusive packaging and upgraded internal components contained within a pristine white ceramic-coated shell. Vocals are centered yet tucked to the back of your head, giving them space while gluing them into the mix. Perception of effects and tiny details are deepened. Recordings with sudden wide panned instruments seemingly come from behind the listening position. Tia’s classic sound-stage presents the depth of the stereo field rather than just the width. The high-frequency band is left sounding pure and clean. This accuracy in the mid band is not only a result of its own amplitude but because of the quick transient response of the high-mid section. Lows reach deep while maintaining realism, giving space for upper bass and mid-range punch/presence. ![]() Blanc is tuned very similarly to Fourté Noir, with some subtle improvements in the low-frequency band due to a new implementation of the dynamic driver, resulting in lower distortion. ![]()
